| Report: | Even with Alistair gifting Brian his first three points with 3 OOC's it took a change in marker (and a saved match point) to get him going - eventually winning a well contested game 3-2.
Peter started out strongly against Da Kid, but it looks like youth won out against beauty.
I didn't see much of The Owls game, but what little I did see it looked like he was on fire - cheeky boasts and LBs all over the place.
The No.1s looked like they had a great match, closely, but fairly, fought.
Which leads me onto my match, in Surrey League 6, which I won. I got no joy from this - but some satisfaction. I thought this level of squash was supposed to be fun, without any dicking around - and that we would all finish our pints afterwards. Not so, apparently. An apology would have been nice.
To the rest of the Grafton Boys, good luck for the rest of the season we really enjoyed your company.
I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to the return fixture. |
