RULE UPDATE
28 Nov 2014

Although the rules state that rearrangements are not allowed, we have always taken the view that as long as both sides are happy to rearrange a match, that a new date is agreed immediately and that the match is played, it seems a better outcome and more in the spirit of the leagues to allow it. However, as of now, NO REARRANGEMENTS WILL BE ALLOWED UNLESS EXPRESSLY AGREED BY A COORDINATOR.

In order to apply for a rearrangement, the team asking for the rearrangement must:

  1. Send an email to their coordinator, including both the new date and the email thread where the opponents agree to it. Simply saying that the opponents have agreed or will contact us, is not good enough.

  2. Supply their reason for wishing to rearrange. Please bear in mind that no team is obliged to agree to a rearrangement and that being unable to get a team out is not reason enough. IF YOU CANNOT GET A SIDE OUT, THEN YOU MUST GIVE A WALKOVER. As of now, the fixture dates in the Surrey Cup are locked and cannot be changed by a club. The new date ageed by the teams will be updated on the web site by the coordinator. If any fixtures are rearranged without the agreement of a coordinator, the result will immediately be set to a 0-0 draw. [This does not apply to Ladies, Juniors, Vets or Vintage leagues.]
