Report

Report:Well.... we had a our first win of the season, which was sweet, but it wasn't an easy ride and, once again the opposition was a lot tougher than the division suggests. The game of the night was Jason "five burgers" playing against a fit and very good Chris, and the rallies were long and tough. Even though the score line was 3-1 the games were tight, FB played the best squash I have ever seen him play and had to run his socks off picking up balls from every part of the court just to make Chris play one more shot. This perseverance, whilst playing great squash, eventually won him the match and it was well deserved result. Mark "the Snail" was out played by Simon who had the measure of him with some great winning shots. Mark crashed out in the end losing 0-3. "Crash bang" Ian, playing at 3, came up against an 18 year old squash coach who could actually hit the ball harder than him...truly amazing!! Unfortunately for Ian, Ollie was just too good and despite Ian's best efforts he lost 0-3. "Brazilian Dave" is now becoming a 3-2 legend, before the match he played a tough racket ball match and looked tired before getting on court. Nitin in the early stages seemed to have the better of him however, BD is used to being in this situation once to often and new what he had to do. The next 2 games went to BD easily and eventually he walked of with a win. Unfortunately or fortunately for Andre, he had walk over because one of the nominated team members did not turn up, however in fairness to Dorking, Bob their Club captain turned up so that Andre could at least have a game, which was nice gesture.
