| Report: | An anticipated game last night, with Purley & Esporta occupying the 1 and 2 slot in the league. The two juniors, Katie and Jack put in solid performances but were ultimately unable to contend with the experience of their opponents. Both have a great future in squash and demonstrated their potential.
Phil and Justin had a hard fought game that went to the fifth, with Justin just getting those vital extra points at the end. Well played - a tough match.
Finally, our number 1 Shane had a great start to his match winning the first two games comfortably. Gordon started to find his rhythm in the third but ultimately was not able to capitalise.
A good win for Purley and I am sure Esporta will be looking forward to the return match. |
