| Report: | Dorking came with their strongest team an played some good squash. The retired Adrian picked up his racket to take one for the team! Simon was too strong for him on this occasion. Chickers and Mike had a good battle but Ian's relentless pursuit of the ball took its toll and he eventually lost 2-3. Initially, Kevin looked as though he might get the better of his opponent but incredibly, Julian managed to find in excess of 15 nics, which was either very lucky or brilliant squash. John was 2 up but then lost his mojo to lose 2-3. Crispin and David looked as though they were going to have a real battle but the silver fox picked up his game after the 1st and won easily. Thanks to Dorking for turning up with their top team....not!!!.... however they were good company. We look forward to the return leg. |
