| Report: | Well done to Surbiton for a good victory last night and also for winning the league - just a pity you couldn't stay afterwards so we could drink a toast to you guys! Never mind, there's always next time.
Chris and Tom played out a good match at #1 with Chris slowly grinding Tom down and then hitting the accelerator pedal in the 5th for a great comeback win.
Over on the other court young Jonathan was giving a masterclass and this is a player to watch for the future as he moves through the junior ranks. James gave as good as he got in the 1st ste but after that it was all one way traffic. Well played Jonathan and keep it up.
Following the #1's on court were Jim and John at #3 and Jim was no match for John on this occasion as John played a variety of boasts from all parts of the court which Jim was not able to read and it was a comfortable victory for John.
Meanwhile the #4's were fighting out a great 5 setter with Ian picking in the 3rd set but then forgetting that squash is played over 5 sets and not necessarily 3 as Doug dug deep (excuse the pun) for another come from behind victory.
So the #2's were left to play for personal pride and this time it was Ashtead who were able to come from behind to take a 5 setter.
