Report: | Oh dear - another thumping & another fine mess you got me into. It all started to go wrong as soon as Wimbledon turned up. You might of thought a few of them could get lost on the way, but no, someone in their team can read a map. Mark went off like train against Paul who was well and truly left behind on the platform, while the two number ones tried to out hit each other. Not a lot of touch in that game but the walls took a fair battering with Gary just coming out the winner in 5. Mike grunted and groaned his way to a defeat in 3 - if he carries on like this the bodies in next doors graveyard will start to complain. Rod gave his all as usual and managed a set against an Aussie still smarting from the rugby, while Ray did what he does best - losing from a winning position at 8 - 2 up in the third. It was a decent evening, as long as we ignore the squash and we look forward to the return where no doubt the temperature will be minus 10 and the big hitters will pull numerous muscles giving us a chance. |
