| Report: | Oh dear , oh dear, oh dear..... the veterans of Cheam (combined age 297 years) were out done by the youthful Warlingham Vets ( combined age of 201)... Ron, and his trusted Zimmer frame made light work of Cheam's Chair,...swiftly followed by Mark (fuelled by 6 pints of IPA Special) put the youthful Matt back into his box. Keith and Mark battled briefly before Cheam's Mark tamely handed in his resignation letter...and reverted to type by asking for some outlandish "let" decisions. The most entertaining match of the evening was Cheam's very own Nourseman against Paul.... Who had just flown back from the Euro 2012 especially for this battle. Guile, skill, expertise and stamina.... all words that could not define or describe the match !! Bob eventually managed to snatch Cheam's only point of the evening... whilst Pauls 7 years advantage against our own Methusala eventually paid dividends.
The entertainment in the bar was equally as enjoyable ...but please beware Warlingham ... come the return fixture we may have 2 players under the age of 75 playing !! |
