Report: | Another surprising night for the Woefuls of Warlingham. We expected Tim to make an a appearance, but after losing to Ally 3-0 against Colets and knowing Eric beat the wee lassie, he decided that he needed to use the excuse that he had some family visitors from Convict land. Please Miss - the dog ate my homework! After all these years surely he could come up with something better! And he wasn't even playing. Rob was desperate to get a mention in the match report, and as first up and on court early, he was ......! And that is a classic English understatement. Rod was even worse with drop after drop in the tin - bottom of, but had the benefit of a home marker. Nick had a first. He won. After all these months he finally got a win. Andy, sorry
I didn't see the match but I've seen all Nick's others, and if he won you must have played real pisch. Luckily Phil took on John and I didn't see a dicky bird, so they both can pretend - one that he is good, the other that he was unlucky. They are both delusional. Finally at second string, Luke did his utmost. Turned up late, left early, well we hope he paid his match fee? Did he play - answer yes he did - quicker than you would think at his age, but up against a cantankerous old git. Far too nice a chap to complain about gamesmanship. Good bunch of guys and we look forward to seeing them in the winter. |
