| Report: | A successful end to the season for the Warlingham woeful's, with a comfortable victory to ensure, mid table mediocrity. First up was James who proved too powerful a striker for Paul and ran out a comfortable winner. Our white stick man at 3rd string looks like his eyes are coming back from their extended holiday this summer, but despite some heavy shots, Andy was just that little bit more unorthodox than Nick. John had a routine win at 2 against John who was still feeling his way back from injury. Last up was Eric and Martin at 1st string and surprisingly the balcony was empty
for this epic match, - players probably already in the bar - which saw Eric on fire (unlike his last weeks effort, which was a damp squib)against Martin who had one of his poorer performances. He never even got hand in! Just didn't turn up at all. He may have got lost on the way to Warlingham, he was certainly lost on the court. He has had better nights - probably had better hangovers. So, onto the winter for those cold heavy courts, and we look forward to plenty of heaters breaking down, with ice and frost all around. |
