| Away Report: | A strange sort of match where we gain two valuable wins at 4 & 5 by Terry and Gary not turning up. They should not turn up more often, because they never got wins like this when they did. Regretfully Kingfisher were let down at the last moment but had the decency to tell us early enough so that our pull ups from the depths of the 4th team didn't actually need to waste the petrol. For us who did attend, Dave was too strong for a somewhat out of form Conroy, Eric was on fire against Paul, and Gary fresh from many glasses of M & C non V at lunchtime due some celebrations of a motorist caught at 71 mph on the M 25 - (most of us don't get out of second gear - the guy should have got a medal not a ticket)was more than just the little bit of the worse for wear. We look forward to the return with hopefully a full complement of players in the dead of winter and mercury showing at least minus 10 degrees. |
