| Report: | A good nights squash, with some fine rallies and much joviality. First up was Eric and Nick, with the courts much to warm for the old mans game. Global warming has ruined his squash and Nick took full advantage, even warming the ball up between sets, what a dastardly plan! Even Eric's verbal admonishments couldn't halt his march to victory Tim had some lengthy rallies with Dan but finally came out on top, while Marc faded badly against the diminishing waistline of Noel - whatever happened to the rest of him, that rotund porker we once knew and loved? Our very own Dundonian dumpling was once against in measly form, giving away few points against a surprisingly quick Phil who had no time to settle in. Therefore 2 apiece and the two skippers set for the deciding rubber. Oh and how the balcony groaned, mostly under the weight of the inhabitants but also from the crock of shite that was on display down on court 1. Having just painted the walls, we now need to strengthen the tin, if this sort of thing is to be repeated. After some horrendous squash, shocking marking, much hilarity from on high, Alex ran out the winner on another complete mishit. A good evening all round, and some of these guys are getting rounder every day. |
