Surrey Cup 2019/20
26 Aug 2019

Hi All

It's that time of year again and you will find the entry form for the Surrey Cup 2019/20 here, assuming you have not received it via email.

Entry forms must be in by 8 Sept, which is two weeks away. While this might not seem to give you much time, it should encourage everyone to get onto it immediately, and for most of you it will simply be a case of confirming the same teams as you have every year.

If you look at the results from last year, it will be very easy to see where your teams will be this year, and if you genuinely feel that the strength of a team is too weak for the expected division, please note this on the entry form, along with any other relevant information. As you know, the fixtures are generated to keep home week clashes to a minimum for multi-team clubs, and in the past, some clubs have requested that certain teams are specifically at home in the same week or specifically never at home in the same week. If you have any requests of this nature, again just add this to the entry form.

Please note that as a general rule, teams will never be put into a higher division than they have ended up after last year, regardless of how much stronger you may think a team is. However, if a team drops out, and a gap appears, then it is useful to know if a team would be happy to be moved up if this situation arises, so I am happy for you to mention this on the entry form.

There will be further emails soon concerning rule changes, but otherwise, please check your teams and then return the entry form as soon as possible.
