| Report: | A good fun match with the no. 1s providing the real entertainment. Could easily have been a 5 setter, but a tenacious John Wild fought hard and managed to summon forces even higher than Reigate's legendary elevated ceiling to concoct 2 outrageous nicks at either end of the court at 7-7 to claim a superb 3-1 victory rather than going 2-2 into a final set. Since this was a reverse fixture played at Reigate where Ebbisham3 were also playing Reigate5 there was added spice as Ebbisham shared 2nd place in the table with Woking 4. In the end Ebbisham's 19 points put our 17 in the shade and they now have 2nd place - congrats!........until the next match, George!! |
