Report: | Congratulations to Ashtead who prevailed in this top of the table clash. We (Ebbisham) were flattered that runaway leaders Ashtead felt the need to field there top 5 nominated players. Things were looking miserable for us at the start with a 3-0 defeat and 2-0 down in the second game. Somehow we managed to claw back the second game and Dave Riches went on to win 3-2 as well which put Ebbisham 2-1 up in matches. The fourth match was won comfortably by Ashtead and although we had a match point for the overall tie in the fifth match could not convert so Ashtead went away with the bonus points, well deserved.
A most enetertaining fixture and a rejuvenated Ebbisham will fight hard to meet Ashtead again next season in League 4. |
