| Report: | After four tense opening matches, in which Mark and Karen won 3-1 while Ed and David struggled against age and increasing frailty to each lose 0-3, Mike entered the fray with the match finely balanced at 2-2.
Reliable match winner that he is, Mike emerged victorious after three fairly close games to win the overall match 3-2 (points 13-8).
Since Reigate had offered us a 19-0 walk-over due to fielding a weakened side, they also went home happy with our beer in their bellies and 8 well earned points. |
