| Report: | first off was the no.1's. A late kick off with Captain Spaghetti stepping up for colets to the 1 slot against a hard hitting Andy from Wimbledon. some long hard rallies with the games swaying either way. If Captain Spaghetti hit another back wall nick off the serve then I think Andy would have snapped his racket adn left!! he held it together but Colets came through 3 points on the board. Never saw the 5 and 2 strings plays but understand another close encounter 3-2 for the 5's and Jahangir "the drop" snipes game 3-0 from pure chasing down every ball and playing silky 4 up the wall drops! well played. No.3's Jack-a-mo and Kelsey on court. Two big lads who can hit the ball hard. An epic encounter occured taking the match all the way to a 5 setter. Jack-a-mo coming back from behind to take the match! Whilst this was going on at 10:15!! Jason "the block" and Dominic were last on. Luckily it was a short affair, Jason coming out 3-0. Quick shower and a beer. Good match, well played all. |
