Report: | The Grafton entertained a strong Lakeside team who had only lost to one other team all season. The evening began with Torney and Cadwell taking up the Wimbledon challenge.
Torney playing one of the many talented South Africa players to grace the halls of Lakeside found it difficult to find the form of recent weeks.
With the marker looking the other way for the first serve of the game the two number one's annoyingly had to restart the game. Both players had a feeling that this was going to be an interesting encounter. Cadwell started the stronger taking the first but it wasn't long until Brennan found his feet and took the next two games. Both players playing some fantastic squash in parts were unsettled by several decisions which baffled both players from a confused marker. This tight affair had fiver setter written all over it but the way Cadwell took the fifth and the match was well received by the throbing Grafton gallery. |
