| Report: | Another very close match which was decided by the 4th string match in the 5th game. I missed the match between the 2 Steves but by the result Steve L proved too strong for Steve C. Bob scraped (his words) through against David. I lost mine in a close match against Chris who had just that little extra to win the final game despite being 6/1 down. Michael and had another win from a losing position (how does he do it??). this was a very tense match to watch (and mark), Rajeeva took the first 2 comfortably. Michael made a remarkable recovery in games 3 and 4 to take it to the 5th, which saw many lets (and some strokes) to both players but Michael edged it some very tight shots at the end. John and Damien were last on with John looking to replicate Michael by taking the 3rd game, but Damien looked too strong in the end.
Well played Ebbisham a tight match and great company at the bar afterwards. |
