| Report: | An early Christmas present from Warlingham to Reigate wrapped up as a 5 -0 mullering, as Reigate were just too strong. Some good squash though and two very tight five setters, with Rob our resident banker (after tonight I may have spelt that wrongly) going down to Tom in a closely contested match. First time he has lost in 18 months playing in Surrey. However with some fine shots from Tom, Reigate came out on top. Match of the night was Will v Andy going down to 13-11 in the fifth. Andy looked completely done in at 5 all in the first but as the match progressed we realised that is just how he always looks. Some lovely boasts and racket work saw him through in the end.
Julien controlled the match against John from the T and Jay did his usual walkabout in the second set against Ollie. He did however play the shot of the night with a 360 degree turn and a nick rolling the ball along the floor for 8 feet. Steve did his best but was overwhelmed by Richard. Nevertheless he turned uop saving us losing points for not fielding a full team. This sort of thing could be crucial at the end of the season. We look forward to seeing Reigate again in the New Year. |
